Kurdish musician Hêja Netirk is making waves with her debut EP, Stranên Neşuştî (“Unwashed Songs”), where she explores a feminist approach to Kurdish songwriting. In her current project, Kîne em? – Who are we?, Hêja blends modern Kurdish poetry with traditional singing, accompanied by the beats and synths of Hamburg-based Colombian musician Carlos Andrés Rico. This clup concept takes listeners on a journey from Kurdistan to Hamburg Hafen, featuring the unique sounds of Electro Tembûrvan Saîd and drummer Professor Eray Çaylı.
