Taalhuis Amsterdam hosts Turkish-Dutch Intercambio & Turkish Language Help Desk during Kaynaş Club. This Turkish- Dutch intercambio (= language exchange) is a gathering of language learners and native (or near-native) speakers to practice their language skills. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, this event offers a relaxed, social environment where participants can improve fluency, expand their vocabulary, practice together, and learn from one another. Taalhuis Amsterdam’s teachers will also provide activities and guidance, ensuring a structured yet enjoyable learning experience. This intercambio is open to everyone and completely free, but Taalhuis Amsterdam kindly asks you to register using the form on this page.
 
Once the intercambio wraps up and the concerts begin, Taalhuis Amsterdam’s Turkish teachers will be stationed at the Turkish language help desk in the UP Bar and roaming around the building ready to answer your questions. Find them to master the lyrics of your favorite Turkish song, and learn how to express something in Turkish. You can ask them anything related to the Turkish language!
 
Two lucky students who sign up for a Turkish course at Taalhuis Amsterdam for adults OR children by 12:00 on 31 January will each receive two free tickets to the festival!

Over Kaynaş Club

Kaynaş Club is a one-day festival dedicated to Anatolian music. 'Kaynaş', the Turkish word for 'coming together' or 'mingling', musically translates to acts that mix traditional sounds with a wide range of genres. Ranging from psych-folk, hypnotic saz melodies and even electronic beats.
