Zucchero - Sugar Fornaciari (2023)

IN-EDIT is back! From 11 to 21 April the sixth edition of the music documentary festival takes place at the Melkweg. Again many great music films will be screened this year, like this documentary about the Italian singer Zucchero.

Exclusive footage from his private archives and his triumphant world tour plus testimonies of friends like Bono, Sting, Andrea Bocelli, Francesco Guccini and many others shape the narrative about one of the greatest bluesmen of all time: Zucchero. His story contains the emotions of a child uprooted from his land, his tenacity to achieve international success, his strength to face years of depression and finally manage to return to his roots. A journey of the soul that goes beyond the portrait of a successful musician, delving into the doubts and vulnerabilities of a man who, unable to fight the devil within himself, chose to have fun together.

Melkweg often hosts different types of programmes at the same time, such as concerts, club nights and films. Please note that there may occasionally be some noise pollution from other programmes during the screening.
