The Murder Capital

The Murder Capital returns to Melkweg after their sold-out show in our OZ back in 2020! Known for the dark, emotional vocals of frontman James McGovern, the Irish band continues to impress with their post-punk sound. With their third album on the horizon, a successful tour alongside Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and the release of their brand-new single ‘Can’t Pretend To Know,’ they are forging ahead. This track, produced by John Congleton (renowned for his work with St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, and Sharon Van Etten), delves into the loss of childhood innocence. It blends powerful post-punk with a touch of shoegaze, as dreamy guitars evoke a melancholic atmosphere.
