Twenty-six years after their last studio album, noise rock band the Jesus Lizard releases their successor and seventh album Rack! According to the foursome, a comeback in a way that other bands would not do. Not to show how they have grown as a band – but to make a record like they always did; 'We want mindless mayhem along with an element of sophistication – that was always our thing,' says Duane Denison. Sims and McNeilly's unerring rhythm section, Denison's sharp riffs and Yow's unpredictable vocals made them an influential name in the genre and the '90s. The band often collaborated with producer and other important name of the time, Steve Albini, who described them as 'the best band of the '90s'.
It has been more than 15 years since the Jesus Lizard last played in the Netherlands, but a new album naturally means a tour, and a show in our MAX cannot be missed.
