With brand new songs, a new band formation and lots of good vibes, The Gardener & The Tree will return to Melkweg in 2024! In recent years, the band has gradually become one of Switzerland's best export products. The unmistakable indie folk of the quintet led to three almost sold-out German tours and spots at festivals such as Hurricane and Southside. Latest achievement 'Intervention' once again brings out the versatile power of the Swiss band: from uptempo, full-throated indie folk to timid, heartbreaking ballads.
The Gardener and the Tree return this evening with evergreens like "Postcards", "Wild Horses" or "Mama's Guitar", as well as brand new tracks, staying true to their folk DNA, but introducing new influences!
The Gardener & The Tree and Egopusher are supported by Liveurope: the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music. Liveurope is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and supported by the Pro Helvetia Foundation.
Support Act: Egopusher, formed by drummer/producer Alessandro Giannelli and violinist Tobias Preisig, crafts a visually charged blend of classical and advanced electronica with contemporary neo-classical influences.
