The Franklin Electric

The Franklin Electric is a Montreal-based indie folk project led by singer-songwriter and producer Jon Matte. His songs are about self-discovery, relationships and intricacies of human experience. The EP ‘Brother’ is a pretty personal collection of songs, for which Jon delved into his relationship with his brother while calling attention to mental health. It was followed last August by the EP Victory Songs, which explores the realities of winning losing. On 10 April, the singer brings his narrative indie folk to our UP hall.
