From the very beginning, Rare Americans have been known as inventive storytellers, though despite what their name suggests, they are certainly not Americans. James Priestner and his brother Jared, hailing from Vancouver, Canada, translate their stories into creative videos and genre-mashing indie pop-punk.
Rare Americans are drawn to complexity. Fans know to expect the unexpected: no two songs are alike. 2024 promises to be the band's most ambitious year yet. Get ready for two new albums, followed by a 90-minute animated punk rock musical. We already get a taste of the new records with the singles 'Placebo' and 'Fortune Cookie.'
