At Melkweg RADAR you will discover the latest acts of the moment, live from our intimate Upstairs!
On Thursday 29 December, Noor and Rosa van Bommel will be on our stage. Both with unique and smart Dutch lyrics with a touch of cabaret and in a pop jacket.
Noor
Noor is a 21-year-old instrumentalist, songwriter and singer who grew up playing the violin in Amsterdam. Despite her songs being classified as pop, it is clear to hear that her musical background is rich in different genres. Since her farewell song 'I wave it out' went viral online, she has built a larger audience that feels connected to her personal lyrics and voice. Her Dutch-language EP 'Jong en Oud' was released in October after a long wait, and she is currently expanding her English-language repertoire.
Rose van Bommel
Rosa van Bommel makes you dance on the edge of discomfort and surrender. Her Dutch-language poetry doll is philosophical, activist, and just as replaceable as you. She writes about the impotence between stars and systems, the urge to prove and about what connects everything; love. A selection of her sources of inspiration are the Talking Heads, Spinvis and Fiona Apple.
On previous editions of Radar you could discover RIMON, Sophie Straat, S10 and Lemu, among others.
