Mediocracy is a short film written and directed by Jordan I. Cardoso. Set in a dystopian version of Los Angeles, the film explores themes of artistic censorship, personal freedom, and the sacrifices made in the pursuit of authenticity. The story follows John, a prohibition agent navigating a world where creative expression is relentlessly controlled. Against a backdrop of mediocrity enforced by authority, he faces the ultimate choice between conformity and defiance. With striking cinematography, a compelling narrative, and a powerful critique of the creative industry, Mediocracy delivers a bold reflection on the challenges faced by independent creators.
