Conceptual pop-proggers Public Service Broadcasting teach us, as they themselves say, 'the lessons of the past through the music of the future' for over a decade now. With samples from old public information films and other propaganda, J. Willgoose, Esq. synthesizes his forensic historical research into challenging storytelling and experimental krautrock.
On their latest album 'Bright Magic', the familiar guitar music and English language make way for Berlin-inspired indietronica and German-language lyrics. It differs from their previous albums: less linear and narrative-driven, but rather an impressionistic portrait of a city from the ground up. Naturally crafted through the always precise research of Willgoose.
