As part of the exhibition 'Everything for the Image' by Trees Heil, we present at our Cinema Wim Wenders' documentary Pina (2011) about Pina Bausch, one of the most important contributors to modern Tanztheater of the 20th century. This evening is curated by Trees Heil and presented in collaboration with researcher Eva Langerak. There will be an introduction before the film, followed by Trees Heil's short film The Secret Garden. After Pina (2011), Eva and Trees will discuss her work, the exhibition and the influence of Pina Bausch.

In ‘Pina’, Wim Wenders (Buena Vista Social Club, Paris,Texas, Der Himmel über Berlin) takes the audience on a sensual and visually breathtaking journey of discovery on the stage of her legendary dance ensemble, but also outside the theatre; the city of Wuppertal and its surroundings. This place was Pina Bausch's home from which she drew her creative power for more than 35 years. Pina passed away in the summer of 2009.
