At the intersection of hyperpop and rock, we find Mothica. With influences from icons like Bring Me The Horizon and Poppy, who both push the boundaries of heavy music, McKenzie Ellis takes us on a journey into her 'genre-mashing' sound. Where it all began in 2014 with her indie, 'gloom pop' vibe, she now extends her love for emo and rock into a heavier sound with her latest work 'NOCTURNAL'! McKenzie approaches her music through a 'pop lens', but infuses it with an abundance of rock and metal elements and collaborating with Polyphia, Scene Queen and Papa Roach.
