L'Impératrice - which means 'the Empress' in English - from Paris, creates elegant, dreamy synthpop. In 2019, the made a great impression at Eurosonic/Noorderslag in 2019, and their debut album 'Matahari' (which they presented in our OZ at the time!) was a gem. Expect a highly danceable mix of 70's space disco, downtempo 90's synthpop, and sensual French film music.
Supported by Liveurope: the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.

Dear friends,
It is with great sadness that we share the news of Flore’s departure, as she has decided to leave L'Impératrice to move on to new ventures. These past nine years together have been filled with (countless) unforgettable moments, shared joys on stages around the world, and incredible songs - all made possible with your unwavering support.
As you can imagine, this was a tough decision for Flore, and it took us some time to come to terms with it. In the very beginning, L'Impératrice’s music was almost exclusively instrumental. Thank you, Flore, for giving it a voice, and for these wonderful years. You'll always be part of the group's history, and we wish you all the best for the future
Today, L'Impératrice is opening the third chapter of its history. It's a new artistic challenge, and those of you who've been following us since the beginning know that our Odyssey is far from over.
We'll be back as planned on October 11 for the whole Pulsar tour, bringing you the same energy, the same high-quality show, and all the songs you love. But most exciting of all, we’ll be introducing the new member of the band in the coming days! We count on you to give her a warm welcome!
