19:00 Zaal Open 19:30 Tarah Who? 20:20 Prong 21:30 Life of Agony
American alternative metal band Life Of Agony debuted in 1993 with the album River Runs Red. Now a classic and in 2017 even included in the 'Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time' by the American magazine Rolling Stone. Now thirty years after the release of this record, the band is coming to celebrate this anniversary in Amsterdam!
For nearly three decades, the group has toured the world, sharing stages with rock's biggest names, including Metallica, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Foo Fighters and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Life of Agony has sold over a million albums to date.
Special guest on this evening is heavy metal band Prong. The band was formed in the legendary CBGB's in the 1980s by Tommy Vector, Mike Kirkland and ex-Swans drummer Ted Parson. In the early years, the band mainly created a hardcore punk and thrash metal sound. But as bands like Machine Head, Sepultura and Life of Agony emerged in the 90s, the band's sound shifted more towards industrial, groove metal.
The evening will be opened by the duo Tarah Who?.
