The Dreadful / Anas Soudfa & band

    OZ UP

On Thursday March 20 and Friday March 21, Melkweg will again participate in the Kunstschooldagen. The Kunstschooldag is an introduction to the Amsterdam art world for group 8 pupils from elementary school in Amsterdam. It is impossible to imagine Amsterdam without the Art School Days. For more than 25 years, the eighth-graders of Amsterdam's elementary school have had a taste of art and culture in the city during the annual Kunstschooldagen. More than fifty art institutions participate in the Art School Days to offer more than 6,000 pupils an instructive and above all unforgettable day.

      THE DREADFUL
He is back, Bas Barnasconi, better known as Bazz from the Bazzookas, the driving force behind The Dreadful. For years a phenomenon during Art School Day[s]. With Bazz on stage, everyone knows it's going to be one big musical party. Bazz and his drummer start off, the 8th graders, teachers, masters and other supervisors take over. The more kids on stage, the better. All with an instrument in their hands or singing behind the microphone. Everyone can participate. As a rapper, singer, guitarist, percussionist, keyboardist, stagediver, dancer ... just as it suits. What happens when The Dreadful is on the program? Always a surprise! And ... no one wants to stop ... not the 8th-graders, not the accompanists, not Bazz and his drummer!

       Anas Soudfa & band
      Uplifting music for everyone
Anas Soudfa, the man who knows the city of Amsterdam like no other with his Dima Fe Lbal, the raï-specialist of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra, this pedigree musician with Moroccan roots and rooted in Amsterdam plays again with his band during Kunstschooldag[en]. Uplifting music for everyone. From Moroccan folk songs to popular rai music. Charki from Egypt, Chaabi from Morocco, Chalizi from the Middle East, Andalusian music from northern Morocco and Dutch, Italian and Arabic songs of today. Sitting still listening ... maybe the first song ... but longer will not do. Dancing 8th-graders, teachers, masters and other attendants until the last minute!
