Kids With Buns

It has been four years since Marie Van Uytvanck and Amber Piddington, known together as Kids With Buns, first stood on a stage during the preliminary rounds of Sound Track in 2019. What was initially a makeshift solution (the guitarist Marie was supposed to perform with had canceled due to illness) turned out so well that the two decided to form a band: Kids With Buns, named after the Gorillaz song 'Kids with Guns.' In 2020, they made it to the semi-finals of Humo's Rock Rally, one of the most important music competitions in Belgium, and since then, they have won the hearts of our neighbors to the south. Their recently released debut album 'Out of Place' is inspired by artists like Nick Drake, Ben Howard, and especially Girl in Red, and it's a bit harder than the bedroom pop they had primarily made up to now. Ready to conquer the Netherlands as well, they will soon be performing in our Upstairs!
