Belgian all-rounder J. Bernardt, best known for the alternative rock band Balthazar, began his solo career in 2016 with the single 'Calm Down', which was followed up a year later by his debut album 'Running Days'. On May 17, his new album 'Contigo' will be released and although his debut album was shaped by electronica, the new album was created in the old school way. With a mix of dramatic, compelling and colorful lyrics and lush melodies and vocals, the album explores all the stages of a breakup: shock, grief, anger, denial, pain and acceptance. The singer previously performed at the Melkweg as a member of Balthazar, and in December he returns with his own show at our MAX!
