Dockyard

Dockyard, the energetic pop formation that turns every show into an unforgettable party. Founded by the creative minds Glenn Foreman (Winner of the Grand Prix of the Netherlands) and Jelle Broek (guitarist at De Dijk), the band puts on a danceable show full of catchy hooks, infectious polyphony and childlike enthusiasm.

People sometimes say: “What is good comes quickly” and this certainly applies to Dockyard. The first single “Come Off The Phone” was only released in May of this year. Yet they already played in James Blunt's Afas aftershow, the single received airplay on NPO Radio 2 and collected 50,000 streams on Spotify. They were also selected for the talent program Horizontoer and the Paardcafé burst out of its seams swinging at their first public performance.

The story of Dockyard began in an unexpected location: a sailing boat on the Wadden Sea. There, (singer-songwriter) Glenn and (De Dijk guitarist) Jelle, despite their different musical backgrounds, found each other in a shared passion for artists like Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones and Sam Fender. Inspired by those artists, a band was formed that is ready to bring a fresh and energetic sound to the people.
