_S_havero Ferrier formed De Rotte Appels in 2009, along with Gerold Sewcharan on drums and Kevin Reyke on bass. The band recorded their single ‘Punker!!!!’ in 2012 for the compilation album Punk's Not Deaf Vol. 1. Shavero is now preparing to return The Rotten Apples in the Netherlands as he travels for the documentary Tra Fasi (Translation: ‘in another way’), reuniting with original drummer, Gerold Sewcharan.
Tra Fasi offers a rare glimpse into Suriname's alternative (music) culture, a world often overlooked. The documentary shows not only Shavero's musical journey, but also the profound impact he has on the young people and community around him.
