ADE Arts&Culture x CLUB Lab
In our Cinema we present an enchanting audiovisual line-up in collaboration with FIBER, Intercept and LI-MA, with performances by Axefield, Liza Dries & Mathilde Nobel, Nan Wang and Zeno van den Broek.

Axefield
The Amsterdam based producer and artist Axefield makes immersive electronic music inspired by architectural structures and large physical spaces. Earning a reputation for his heavy club bangers, his releases continue to circulate in clubs and festivals worldwide, including 'Transpersonal World EP' (2023) and 'Cocktail Culture EP' (2023), both released on Intercept Records. More recently, he developed as a film composer, with cinematic influences feeding into his newer works.

Featuring a screening of Mateo Vega - Center, Ring, Mall (18min).

Liza Dries
Liza Dries's audiovisual work connects the immediacy of pop and electronic music with the ethereal. Her songs depict a world much softer than reality, where intimate themes are alienated by digital, glitchy sounds and distorted vocals. Her debut album, ‘Year of Romance’ (YOR) will be released in February 2025 on Intercept Records (House of Coloray, Tsepo, Ineffekt), conjuring a palette that combines the DNA of hyperpop, shoegaze, breakbeat, house and ambient.

Featuring a screening of Frederique Pisuisse, I'm Just Lying There (NL, 2022, 20min).

Mathilde Nobel
Mathilde Nobel is a musician, producer and visual artist. Using a deconstructed approach, she combines experimental, electronic and contemporary sounds, mostly with an otherworldly aesthetic. After graduating from Fine Arts in Breda, the multidisciplinary artist independently released her debut album ‘May+Be’ (2020), followed by releases on renowned labels Nous'klaer and Intercept Records.

Featuring a screening of Michiel van Bakel - Panorama Tata - a plumed serpent's view (8min).

Nan Wang
The multi-disciplinary media artist and experimental filmmaker Nan Wang uses a poetic, abstract visual language to create immersive experiences. She discovers beauty and philosophical meanings in discarded man-made objects or fabrics. Wang creates artworks that focus on themes of identity, perceptions, technology and social interactions. Doing so, she uses new and established technologies. Her artworks are currently distributed by LIMA Amsterdam, EYE Experimental and Light Cone.

Zeno van den Broek
As a composer and artist, Zeno van den Broek examines the complex relationship between humans and technology. His audiovisual creations explore how interactions with manufactured environments shape our experiences. Van den Broek's work challenges our conventional understanding of how we view and interact with spaces that are infused with technology.

Noise Diva & orah present When I Lost My Words, I Found My Voice (Live AV)
'When I Lost My Words, I Found My Voice' is a live audiovisual collaboration between visual artist orah (Deborah Mora) and multidisciplinary artist Yara Said (Noise Diva). The performance explores the emotional power of the larynx as both a physical and symbolic space, blending piano, hums inspired by the Arabic genre Tarab, and distorted visuals to evoke the figure of the singing Siren. This work, commissioned by Klankvorm, reflects on themes of expression, voice, and identity.

Noise Diva (Yara Said) is an Amsterdam-based artist who combines feminist theory with sound and visuals to explore identity, trauma, and social issues. orah (Deborah Mora) is a visual artist and designer known for her non-verbal storytelling through multidisciplinary work in audiovisual performances, graphic design, and installations. Both artists focus on creating immersive, emotionally charged experiences.
