Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, known as Chappell Roan, is recognized for her feminine and queer-positive pop music with a dark edge. She chose the artist name Chappell Roan in honor of her grandfather, Dennis K. Chappell, whose favorite song was 'The Strawberry Roan.' The American singer was only 17 years old when she was discovered on YouTube with the song 'Die Young.' In 2020, she released her most listened song titled 'Pink Pony Club,' which was inspired by Roan's first night out at a gay club.
