Bonnie "Prince" Billy - Keeping Secrets Will Destroy You (2023)

This evening, we present a special visual listening session of the new album 'Keeping Secrets Will Destroy You' by Bonnie Prince Billy, a pseudonym of singer-songwriter Will Oldham. Together with filmmaker Ryan Daly, he wanted to create a special listening experience for this new record, with songs written in the lockdown year 2020. During this unique period, Oldham found a way to distil candid songs from this. Ryan Daly reflects this candour by using his vast archive of 16mm film prints. Using special Soviet techniques, Daly's images offer an alternative, timeless counterpoint to the pandemic era.
