In 1995 The Music Factory (TMF) started as the Dutch answer to MTV Europe, only to be taken over by MTV six years later and to disappear from television altogether in 2011 due to the rise of online media platforms such as YouTube. Many Dutch people look back with nostalgia on the music channel of their youth, where artists such as Anouk, Marco Borsato and Kane were given a stage and there was also room for eurodance, gabber, R&B and hip-hop. During the book launch of 'De Muziekfabriek', written by Jaap Kooijman and published by Mazirel Pers. The first copy will be presented to former TMF-veejay Sylvana Simons.
