Samen met Fanclub Centrum nodigen we elke twee maanden een bijzondere Amsterdammer uit om een filmavond te cureren. Deze keer de eer aan Parool's PS hoofdredacteur Judith Zilversmit, waarmee we gaan kijken naar de surrealistische nineties cultklassieker Being John Malkovich.

Together with Fanclub Centrum, every two months we invite a special 'Amsterdammer' to curate a film night. This time the honour goes to Parool's PS edititor-in-chief Judith Zilversmit, and together we will watch the surrealist nineties cult classic Being John Malkovich!

This bizarre debut film from music video director Spike Jonze with screenplay by Charlie Kaufman tells of a jaded puppeteer who discovers by chance a corridor that opens into the head of actor John Malkovich. Friends and lovers follow him, and the existentialist muddle is complete when Malkovich's various ‘inner selves’ run amok with each other. Including John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, Ned Bellamy, Mary Kay Place and, of course, John Malkovich himself.
