Kick off the new cultural season with the Arty Party in Melkweg Expo! During this multidisciplinary festival, every corner of the Melkweg will be dedicated to art in all its forms. Explore each venue hall, the hallways, every nook and cranny and find yourself fully immersed in the future of the Dutch art world.
For the sixth edition of this full-evening graduation festival, the Melkweg Expo team and a diverse and dedicated team of scouts set out to spot fresh graduate talent from music and art academies from across the country. A small selection will be on show during this evening event. Visitors are invited to discover the art of the future in a non-traditional and inspiring setting. This way, we bring together young arts professionals, newly graduated artists and self-taught artists, visitors and music lovers. We offer them a captivating combination of art presentations, performances, speed dates with talent scouts, engaging talks, and music.
We will draw the night to a close with a bustling party in the OZ, featuring various live performances and DJs. In short, an evening full of eye-opening and horizon-broadening art—an adventure for both artists and audiences.
This program has been made possible by the Mondriaan Fund.

▷ MEET & GREETS
We're excited to announce that we'll be organizing meet & greets with inspirational cultural organizations at Arty Party! As an artist, it's important to ensure a sustainable livelihood in the future. There are various approaches to organizing and achieving this. For instance, seeking funding, setting up a crowdfunding campaign, mastering the intricacies of image rights, or even considering supplementary employment can all be viable options. The Meet & Greet area is available for one-on-one conversations with institutions that support professional practice, such as copyright and interest organizations, funding bodies, etc.
Assuming you already possess a foundation of knowledge in this area, gained during your education, it remains valuable to receive tailored advice and connect with different individuals. Engaging in dialogue, asking questions, and seeking personalized guidance can be tremendously advantageous. Remember, every conversation holds value, so feel at ease – no question is too unconventional, and every topic holds relevance! This is your opportunity to meet these professional organizations in an informal setting and ask them anything that crosses your mind. The participating organizations are: DuPho, Kunstenbond, AFK, Pictoright, Kees de Boekhouder, Mondriaan Fonds, voordekunst and Cultuur en Ondernemen.
▷ PITCH AREA
In the Pitch Area, supporting institutions provide ten-minute pitches about their organization to the participating artists. The participating organizations are: DuPho, Kunstenbond, AFK, Pictoright, Kees de Boekhouder, Mondriaan Fonds and Cultuur en Ondernemen.
