Armored Saint

Armored Saint is a heavy metal band from Los Angeles, founded in 1982 by brothers Phil and Gonzo Sandoval on guitar and drums, respectively, along with bassist Joey Vera and vocalist John Bush. After a reasonably successful career in the 1980s, John Bush was invited to replace Joey Belladonna in the prominent band Anthrax in 1991. Shortly thereafter, Joey Vera joined Fates Warning as their bassist. Fortunately, Armored Saint reunited after a few years and has since sporadically released new albums, including the latest work, 'Punching The Sky,' in 2020.
