Are there still tickets for…?
When a concert is sold out, this will be mentioned on our website as soon as possible. For the most up-to-date information about well-visited concerts or events, you can always call our box office at 020-5318181. When a concert is listed as ‘sold out’ [‘uitverkocht’], no tickets are available anywhere!
Must I pay handling fees?
Yes. All presale (retail) outlets charge costs for their services. As events are regularly sold out, you should consider the handling fee as the cost of a guaranteed place at the concert. When you buy a ticket at the Melkweg box office on the day of the concert or event, you pay no handling fee. Other ticket outlets include handling fees up until the day of the event.
A concert has been cancelled. Do I get a refund?
Whenever a concert has been cancelled, everyone gets a refund of the ticket price at the outlet where the presale ticket was purchased. Handling fees are not refunded.
A concert has been rescheduled, and now I can’t make it.
When concerts are rescheduled and you are unable to attend, you may receive a refund at the outlet where the presale ticket was purchased. Handling fees are not refunded.
I lost my tickets. What now?
Unfortunately, Melkweg cannot help that. The tickets are the buyer’s own responsibility from the moment of purchase onward. There exist no duplicates or suchlike. This applies to all tickets, including tickets that were purchased at other outlets.
I have tickets, but cannot make it after all.
Unfortunately, this is something that Melkweg cannot help either, although it is possible to buy cancellation insurance at an extra cost at Ticket Service Netherlands. It works in the same way as with a travel agency: when you are unable to attend due to sickness, accidents, family circumstances and such, you receive a refund.
I heard/read that a band will soon play in Melkweg, but this is not mentioned anywhere on the website!
Normally this website lists all concerts and events that have been confirmed with Melkweg. It does occasionally happen that a band reserves the right to be the first to announce the concert on their own website. If you want to stay informed about when a concert is confirmed and when the presale starts, subscribe to our weekly newsletter. This announces all new events for which presale has begun.
What time does the concert start?
The starting time is shown on this website and on all tickets. The time displayed refers to the starting time of the main programme unless there is a support act. In that case the main programme starts later. Support acts can be made public until several days before the concert. Therefore, please check our website before you attend the concert. Melkweg can never guarantee that a concert will start exactly on time.
What time does the concert end?
This depends on the artist(s). Usually, you can expect the main programme to go on for between an hour and an hour and a half after starting time. The support act usually goes on for 30-45 minutes.
Does Melkweg provide facilities for wheelchairs?
Melkweg is perfectly accessible for visitors who make use of a wheelchair. The first floor has a disabled toilet next to the lift. There are no specified wheelchair spaces in the halls, but the architecture of the halls make finding a spot simple. Please do come well on time if you want to be sure of a good spot.
I want to spend the night in Amsterdam after the concert. Which hotels are located nearby Melkweg?
